• Carpet Talk - Going Green

    We all try to do our part in being environmentally friendly, but you may not know that you can go green when it comes to choosing carpet too! The National Parks Service of the Pacific West Region gave some great tips for big organizations and businesses who were changing out there carpet, but there is no reason these tips can’t help us to make a green purchase too.

    1- Do what you can t recycle your old carpet so it doesnt end up in a landfill, consider donating. or giving it away.

    2- Worried about getting spots on the carpet because of kids, work, and just life in general? Carpet tiles are the perfect solution, even if one gets dirty or stained you can replace it without having to replace all the carpeting.

    3- Ask your carpeting salesman to give you all the information about the carpet. The recyclable future of the carpet fiber, the cushioning, and the backing.

    4- Choose your carpet based on durability and density, especially if you have high traffic in your home.

    5- Choose colors and patterns that reduce wear.
